Choosing Between a Wired & Wireless Leak Protection Solution

Both the Wired and Wireless Systems operate in basically the same way. The general rule of thumb is, if your leak detection needs require sensing on multiple living levels (basement, first floor, second floor, etc.) – or if you need app-based sensor identification, remote valve control and system notification via your smart phone – then you would probably be better off using the RSC-900 wireless system. If you are looking to detect in a single location (one appliance, or one room), a wired option is likely a more cost-effective choice. You can always contact RDT to discuss your application. We are committed to getting you the best solution!

Accessories to Customize Your Solution

A wide range of accessories is available to customize your installation according to your specific requirements.

All of the wired sensing products listed above (except for the FM-095 simple alarm) support the optional Sensing Rope Accessory Kit, which is ideal for use with low tanks or for room perimeter and sub-floor leak detection requirements. The Sensing Rope wires directly into the Sensor openings on the FloodMaster terminal block. Sold separately. For wired system, order Starter Kit RSA-175-810.

All of the wired sensing products listed above (except for the FM-095 simple alarm) can also provide external event notification via the Auto Dialer (RSA-600-003). The Auto Dialer wires directly into the Normal Open contacts on the FloodMaster terminal block. Accessories sold separately.
