Before you purchase a plumbing leak detection system, make sure you are in the loop when it comes to knowing how that system communicates.

Some systems are wireless, providing greater flexibility and easy installation. But if the wireless system is Internet based, what happens if your Internet service goes down? At that point, not only have you lost communication with your system, but the system may not be functioning as it was intended to.

That’s why you may want to consider a Closed Loop Radio System, which is the type of communication system built into the RDT RS- 360 wireless plumbing leak detection and automatic water shut-off unit. The key advantages of a dedicated, Closed Loop System with battery backup include:

  • Alarm monitoring and water main shutoff mechanisms are not dependent on an Internet connection
  • System runs free of interference from other signals
  • Battery powered backup continues to send/receive signals and unit status in the event of a power outage

Not all wireless leak detection systems are the same. Learn more at RelianceDetection.com.
